The DRECHSELMEISTER MIDI 2 "PLUS" with an extra wide bench bed, 250 mm hand rest and other innovations is the new edition of the popular MIDI 2 lathe.

The MIDI 2 lathe is the completely reworked new edition of the well-known and proven MIDITEC FU-175 table lathe and impresses with its outstanding and well thought-out innovations:

New, "full" headstock in a much improved design:

• More massive design, more weight (reinforced cast iron)
• Spindle mounted 3 times, larger bearing distance
• Wider pulleys and wider Poly-V belt for optimum power transfer
• Easy belt step change thanks to front-mounted belt cover with inspection window
• New locking system for spindle locking
• Spindle connection M33 x 3.5 - now with ASR (Euro) drainage groove
• Wider speed range

New, improved tailstock:

• More massive design, more weight
• 100 mm (!) Pinolenweg (ideal for drilling workpieces!)
• Trapezoidal thread for quill driving (particularly smooth and fast translation, as with professional stationary machines)
• Improved handwheel on tailstock with stored crank
